Introduction
As the art director and photographer for this project, my goal was to capture the timeless quality of Audrey Hepburn's cinematic masterpieces through a photo story inspired by her iconic looks from "Funny Face" and "Breakfast at Tiffany's".
Background
As a fashion enthusiast, I've always been drawn to the timeless elegance of Audrey Hepburn's style. Her movies from the 50s have such a classic quality that even in 2015, it was still so delightful to watch. I was inspired to create a photo story that captured that same timeless quality and iconic fashion looks that still inspire us today.
Approach
To achieve the timeless quality I was after, I decided to turn all the images black and white. We shot the project in a studio, so I had to be creative with the lighting to evoke the right "mood". I used a combination of soft and hard light to create shadows that added depth to the images. I also used a variety of backdrops and props to create different scenes and moods.
Results
The results of this project were a series of stunning black and white photographs that captured the timeless quality of Audrey Hepburn's cinematic masterpieces. Each photograph tells a story, from the glamour and sophistication of "Breakfast at Tiffany's" to the whimsy and playfulness of "Funny Face".
